Taking suggestions for names. We’ll release the name and a full render on May 4th. Car will be unveiled on June 22nd, and will be raced this summer in the Formula Sun Grand Prix and American Solar Challenge.

Our SAE Baja captains would go to the strip club and name the car after the ugliest stripper’s stage name. We had Destiny and Athena (Goddess of knowledge - she was a prof’s daughter)

We’re based in the town of Boone and Booneshiner was a popular choice for a while. University PR shut it down though.

Booneshiner is a good one. Reading the team page it even says runs on Shine and puns and things related to NASCAR are good things for names.

I actually submitted the Shine Runner and followed the facebook page.
